1. Jim Iyke

In the year 2011, Nollywood actor Jim Iyke introduced his own clothing label " Untamed Closet". The idea behind the business was to appeal to teenagers as well as adults and the business world. The company was launched and they opened their first store in Abuja.

Today, however the business no more exists. Their domain untamedclosets.com is up for sale. The last tweet from their Twitter page was posted in February of 2012.

2. Chika Ike

In 2011 Nollywood star Chika Ike launched an online store in Abuja named Fancy Nancy. The boutique sold clothes and accessories. The brand was promoted extensively through Chika Ike taking regular photoshoots to advertise the line and also publicizing the brand through various avenues.

Unfortunately, in 2022, there's nothing to be found on Fancy Nancy. Chika's Instagram bio, which is a summary of the entirety of her business activities does not mention Fancy Nancy just the film studio she runs, Flipscript Studios, her real estate company, Flipscript Homes, and Chika Cosmetics, her cosmetics company. Chika Cosmetics. There is no fancy Nancy to be discovered.

3. Damilola Adegbite

In the year 2019, Nollywood actor Damilola Adegbite excitedly announced the launch of her fashion brand KASHAM by Adedamee. The actress posted on Instagram on the day of the launch:

Today, the Instagram page of the company is no longer active and when you type in the company on Google it displays that it's shut down.

4. Mo Cheddah

Nigerian performer Mo Cheddah launched a clothing collection in 2016 called Mocheddah clothing. During her launch, Mo Cheddah said:

I believe that everyone should feel comfortable expressing themselves with fashion, without breaking the budget." Says the extremely stylish singer "In making the first of my collections, I came up with cute and flirty pieces I enjoy and frequently look out for when buying gifts for myself.

The fans who were fans of singers advised to order from mocheddah.co however the website mocheddah.co has been shut down and the clothing line that was associated is also gone.

5. Anita Okoye

Anita in magazine cover story to promote Tannk Co.

Fashion businesswoman Anita Okoye in 2019 launched an apparel line for children named Tannk Co. The line was advertised as a low-cost kids' fashion collection and Anita promoted the company extensively.

In the last year the website went down and is currently inaccessible. On the official Instagram page of the company the last update reads "we will be back shortly". This post was published on June 30, 2021.

6. Genevieve Nnaji

Genevieve Nnaji in 2014 partnered with the huge online retailer Jumia to relaunch the St. Genevieve Clothing Line. St. Genevieve was Genevieve's collection of clothing and included easy-to-wear pieces. The event that launched the line featured stars from all over the country including Stephanie Linus, Oluchi Orlandi and many more show up to celebrate the launch of the line.

Then, in 2022 St. Genevieve is absolutely not to be found. The company didn't make it big. The only evidence to prove that it has ever existed is a single shirt that is on the Jumia website it's a round neck chiffon top that, as you could imagine, is no longer in inventory. The brand is no longer available for sale.

7. Lilian Bach

One actress that you might not have seen on screen for a considerable time can be Nollywood actor Lilian Bach. Lilian established a lingerie shop named Curiosity Underwears and was selling her lingerie in the store.

Sadly during the protests last year, the company was taken over and destroyed, as reported on the social media pages of Lilian through her Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Even though these celeb fashions have crashed in the end, these 7 famous people are still very successful and are still flourishing. This is a great example that even if one door shuts doesn't mean life is ended. A new door will certainly open in the near future.
